the double-image image, 2016

The double-image is an important and recurring motif in my work, as a way of suggesting increasing complexity, entanglement, compressed time and perceptual experience. In this body of work, the convergence of images generates a complicated legibility where two moments in time collapse into one another. The result is a form where new meanings, suggestions and hierarchies arise from a process of accretion and erasure.

I live and create on the unceded sovereign land of the Bunurong people of the Kulin Nation. I pay my respects to their Elders, past, present and emerging.
