The Murmuring
Rubicon ARI, North Melbourne, Feb 2024
The works follow a poetic methodology informed by 20th century modernism, phenomenology, and the vitality generated from material play. Humble, domestic materials are hung precariously and held together provisionally, suggestive of instability, transience and dissonance. An evolving language of eccentric and misbehaving forms aims to challenge the viewer to create associations and inferences. Disparate combinations present an interplay between Minimalism, quotidian life and contemporary embodied practice.
